Tutorial [Making archives and uploading]

Basically, this is to help out anyone having any problems.

Programs required :

[B]WinRAR Archiver.

Basically, whatever you have to upload, this is the easiest way to go around this.

If the album is in one folder, like this:

Right Click it to bring up this menu [remember, have WinRAR installed] and select, Add to Archive:

That should bring up this dialog box:

Basically, change the name of the archive to suit you. I tend to name it by first letters only, so this album for instance would be named: tsrghd1 which stands for Tupac Shakur Retail Greatest Hits Disc 1.

Now, I make SFX archives. SFX archives are self- extracting, and they still can be password protected. So, if you want to make an SFX archive, tick the box. If not, leave it as is.

Now, head over to the Advanced tab. Click Set Password, and enter a password in.

Last step now, is to add a comment in.

Download one of the NFO files as discussed before.

Now, click the comment tab, click browse, and find the UploadNFO.txt that you have downloaded.

Select ok, and then the final ok and your done. Wait til the archive is made, then upload it.

To upload, open your browser, go to your server [RapidShare, MegaUpload, MediaFire and etc.], click Browse, find the file you want, click open, and then click Upload.

If you get a dialog box like this:

Just click continue.

very well done Shifted. the only thing that i have to add is that this is the NFO/comment that i've been using in my uploads. it was posted as a sticky by Rudolf during the early stages of this site.
