Well we did have one, but I do not think it went too well at all, at least, I do not remember anyone selling anything to anybody..everyone turned to eBay..

You need to appreciate, with that many scams on the net, there is a good chance of getting ripped off.

It's better to go through existing sites that give insurance cover and you have the protection of having the seller and buyer registered with proper details in the case of fraud.

We cannot offer any of this for anyone who wants to buy or sell items.

No good complaining after a "member" uses the opportunity to rip other "members" off.

yeah, the only thing i would suggest is if someone has something and someone else wants it and they want to make a transaction, they can put it up on ebay with a buy it now, and then tell the interested buyer the link. and if anything goes wrong it will be ebay or paypal worrying about it. not the wash. that way this becomes a tool for people to find business but not necesarilly make any transactions.

but i also understand that anything having to do with this could be risky and thats why you dont think its a good idea.

For this to run smoothly on a site like this, you would need a "mini-ebay" in a sense basically, all verification of addresses and some type of cost recovery system set-up as well, but as soon as that happens, the servers have real information on their hands, and considering our cause, do you want that on this site? Even links to eBay can screw around, your best bet is to get in touch through AIM, MSN, or whatever you use and go from there, so an IRC channel for this site might work out in favour for that reason, but we would need a lot larger member base to make that happen.

Don't forget your talking about money, if someone gets ripped off, they get pissed off and all sorts of shit could hit the fan.

This site is about music, not selling your spare bike parts.

For all these reasons its best we all remain anonymous and stay away from these type of activities.
