ledger was flawless...even if he hadn't passed away, he was worth all the hype for this...i can even forgive him for doing brokeback mountain after this :)

brokeback mountain was actually a good film if you could get passed the obvious discomforts it brought up.

but yes ledger, made you laugh and the next moment cringe, and the next look to the person next to you saying. DID HE JUST DO WHAT I THOUGHT HE DID.

he was not heath ledger
he was the joker.
i honestly believe that it was the best acting ive ever seen in my entire life.

yah, i agree with you...this is one particular role where no matter how much the critics hyped him up, he even surpassed what people said...i don't think i've ever seen a villain more convincingly played in any film..it was staggering

I believe this isn't out everywhere yet, so no direct discussions about the plot in here.

If you want to do this, create a new thread, and put [SPOILER] in the title.

I haven't seen it yet, but finally am going to tonight. All the buzz is that it is a great movie, that will really get under your skin. This movie will be on my wish list for X-mas this year without even having seen it yet. I watched the first Batman, with Jack as the "Joker" and I know it's not going to be anything like that. I do like what Tim Burton did with the first two movies way back. It had a dark feel about them. Batman was and never will be colorful (Batman & Robin)...he is dark, brooding, and terrifying (to the criminals.) I do wish that if they do another movie, they bring Bane in and do him some justice. He is the one that "broke" Batman's back.
