I can't agree with Bioshock. Good, but not great gameplay, albeit fairly innovative. However, no replay value or multiplayer. Just another above average game if you ask me.

i wasn't impressed with bioshock either, and the orange box is just half life all over, great game but not game of the year. So far i give it to assassins creed. Its like nothing before it.

I think I would give it to Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. It is similar to the other games, but I really love every game in the series. That game was the reason I bought a PS3.

didn't get to play many new games this year but i'm with mr sour here. assassin's creed definitely took gaming in a direction no one has yet. i look forward to playing mass effect and crysis soon in hopes they are comparible to assassins creed's gameplay

Suprizingly enough i have to give it to the Halo 3 multiplayer, singleplayer sucked though.

But Assassin's Creed was mailed to me from Hong Kong last wednesday and i already know that one's gotta take the crown. Can't wait till i get it.
