No license yet, but my Dad has ten acres, so I bought a Geo Tracker for $50. It's a little rusty, and it was rolled, but it's just dents, most have been fixed. I have over $1k invested in the sound system, though. Thinking about dropping $750 for new subs and a high output alternator, too, lol.

Anyone else got a system? If you do, make a thread, and anyone who does can go a little more in-depth.
I like that Corsa. I don't really like the look of short-wagonish hatchbacks, but that looks pretty good.

Ported. 3 cubes with a bunch of poly-fill, which should put it at about 4. Tuned to 34 Hz. I feel it could get lower, though, so I'm going to get in the port with the router and make it into a brace, then build an external port, which will put it at about 4 cubes, I'll probably tune to 28 Hz. I wanna see some flexing lol. It should get lower, sound better, and be about as loud, if not louder. Pioneer is supposed to make some sick budget SPL subs. People are doing 150s with the upper end models and ~4 kW. What's yours in?
The difference between a nice pair of component speakers and stock is amazing. When I finally put those a/d/s in the boxes, I through on I Paid My Dues by 4-Tay, and it was euphoria. The hairs on the back of my neck started tingling. Beautiful. Got the gain on the sub amp set for minimal clipping at Sub Out +6 on the H/U, to make use of the full pre-out voltage, and it's at -6 (lowest setting) for listening to music for the music, not for bumpin'.

Once upon a time, we had a 1990 300ZX Twin Turbo 2+2. We bought it in 1996 with 40,000k on the clock for $NZ15,000 and we loved it very much...
http://i440.photobucket.com/albums/qq122/Cacteur/300ZXfrontatChurch.jpg
It was mildly tuned, (230Kw) and built like a brick shithouse. Stuck to corners like snot to a blanket and kicked lots of Commodore arse...
http://i440.photobucket.com/albums/qq122/Cacteur/300ZXrearatChurch.jpg
It was an awesome ride, but ten years and 150,000k later, it was starting to cost us big money to maintain, and was getting tired...
http://i440.photobucket.com/albums/qq122/Cacteur/300ZXathome.jpg
.... so... with a deep sadness in our hearts we headed off down to the Nissan Importer, to see what we could find. A 2004 350Z with 40,000k on it for $NZ25,000. It didn't seem to have the same magic as the 300, but at least it was red... so.. we accepted his trade in offer and wrote the check..
http://i440.photobucket.com/albums/qq122/Cacteur/TheSwap.jpg
.. and then we took it home..
http://i440.photobucket.com/albums/qq122/Cacteur/350Zathome.jpg
Fuck me! What a kick arse machine. Bit less power than the 300 @ 220Kw, but with no turbo's the power is instant, and it is so much lighter too, handles so much better... and... it comes with a 140Watt seven speaker Bosé sound system...
