Hello, I am wondering what the best way to go about getting really hard to find albums that I cannot find here on this site. Right now I am using Hi-q recorder to record each track from sites like free Rhapsody. This method works, but it is extremely slow, the quality is sub-par, and I can only do about one album per month. I sometimes use soulseek, but even then I cannot find most albums. Any more ideas?

Did you try posting a request? We can help you find whatever album it is that you're looking for there.

exactly. if you post a request here i am sure that we can find it given that we have a superb staff that is willing to help find just about anything.

you were right when you said hard to find requests. i have had a look at that request already and have had know luck in finding anything. sometimes though certain albums won't be uploaded and we will not be able to find them. i'd say just wait it out a little bit and see if anyone else is able to find those otherwise wait and see if anybody has a better response as what you should do than i did.

loppy, far and beyond any other site i've found..our little collective of 'searchers' is the best resource i can recommend...to schloss's point, we can't find everything but we can track down damn near anything if it's a live link...keep trying with the requests, the more you give us, the more we can find

We have a fantastic group of people who have some excellent searching skills.
They love nothing more than the challenge of finding a working download link to help a fellow member find their particular Album.
Our collective problem is sometimes an item is not available to download due to a number of reasons, the main one being that no one has initially uploaded the item to be shared.
Although we may not be able to find every request, we sure as hell give it a good go trying.

thanks guys, you are very helpful. I do have at least a few more albums I think will be hard to find:D. Also, on a whole different subject, Where is the best place to upload album links? In the forums, on the main site, or somewhere else?

honestly, as everyone said we got a great team of people here
but if we cant find it, and you cant get the files the way you said you did.
your only choice is to wait and hope someone ups it or to buy it yourself.
and i know, no one buys any thing these days. but sometimes you gotta.

But seriously, you can get your stuff here really quickly. Not a minute after I posted a request was it filled. (Well, maybe that was an exaggeration, but it was pretty damn quick.:))

We all have our different techniques that we use to find albums and other requests.
It's just that we have developed these methods over a period of time and they are not infallible and at times you need to know what not to press or where not to look, save putting your computer in danger of being infected with viruses.
That is the main reason we don't want to describe how we exactly go about finding albums.

same here man, at least when i got the cash to do so. if not i download albums then buy the best ones i've found when the cash comes in!
but i agree with everyone, requesting is probably your best route if you're not familiar with the various techniques used, otherwise as rudi said, you'll just end up at a malicious website that's filling up your computer with viruses.
