Have you views... do what ever you like aslong as its related to this..
Thought Liverpool were amazing on Saturday. Torres is a treat to watch and i loved how Gerrard answered his critics. Lovely stuff:p
Glad Bolton beat scum. I can see Anelka leaving next season to a bigger club though.
I'm desperate for Arsenal to loose, shit aint happening though. They always end up breaking down your defence.
Man City i aint that bothered about because there sure to be broken down during Christmas.
Chelsea had an easy game this weekend.. nothing to say there.

I didn't watch the Newcastle-Liverpool game, but when a team concedes 7 goals at home in 2 matches, you know it's not just down to the opposition.
And as a Newcastle fan, that's really depressing. There is no point in sacking the manager now, but he really needs to get his head out his ass. Until then, it's gonna be more of the same.

I really hate it when managers get sacked after 10 odd games. Sam Allardyce needs time like any other manager, people have seen what he can do. Newcastle fans were totally shocking on the weekend. The only way your going to get results is to get behind the team and the manager. If your not doing that its gonna be another year added on to the long legacy of no trophies at Newcastle.

He does need time, yes. However, he persists with some really stupid decisons. Like Butt, Smith, Geremi, & only one winger. The persistence with Smith really annoys me, as we have better players in every position, yet he still gets to start every week. The fact that Martins doesn't get much game time when Owen is fit annoys me as well.

Owen is overall a better player than Martins though and i think, given time, Owen and Viduka could become ruthless togethor.

Owen is a more experienced player. In the 50-odd games Martins as played, he has scored roughly a goal every other game, which is what many define as the mark of a world class striker. If we had a midfield that would boss games, then Owen would be a better choice as he gets himself in better position, and is more reliable with clear cut chances. However, he does absolutely didly-squat for the team if he's not scoring. This isn't the case with Martins. He's fast, strong, good in the air, and puts himself about when not in possession. Combine that with the fact he does have an eye for goal, and you've got the recipe for a very good player. He just needs to work on his composure.

Yeah i cant take it away from Martins he is a good striker, but Owen scores more. And then between Viduka or Martins, Viduka for me.

I thought it was quite ironic in the sense that the day before the game Alex Ferguson was saying how he was a fan of Anelka and that he could possibly be looking to sign him in the January transfer window, then the next day he was costing United 3 points.

Yeah Anelka is still a very good player and is highly under-estimated. I remember when we(liverpool) had him for a season and he was top class. But we didnt try hard enough signing him. One of Houlliers worst things he ever done.

Havent had much time to watch alot of football.
I watched the Chelsea game and tbh i think they should have a sigh of relief. West Ham were unfortunate and im abit gutted Chelsea didnt drop any points.
I watched the Arsenal game and tbh it should have been more than 2-1. Arsenal are just amazing this season, it breaks my heart to say it lol.
Liverpool are just extroadinary lol. 21 goals and one conceded in 5 games.. that is title winning football. Torres has scored 11 in 16 games and i hope he continues his goalscoring. Gerrard 8 in 9 games shows how well Gerrard is playing too. Im looking forward to seeing more of liverpool because we are playing some of the best attacking football ive seen for a long while.
Im looking forward to watching the Newcastle match, hope they do a favour for us.

I hope we do a favour for ourselves. But until Allardyce gets his head out of his ass, I can see more of the same. Our injury situation doesn't really help, either.
We shall see on Wednesday.

What, as a Newcastle fan, would you do differently at the moment? Sam Allardyce is a good manager in my opinion, regardless of the Newcastle situation I still think that. I read a few days ago that he has until Christmas to 'turn things around' which in reality I imagine really means show vast signs of improvement. Managers are often made out to be scapegoats, which is a shame, but thats football. I mean, only a few years ago Wenger was under huge amounts of pressure at Arsenal because of results but look at them now. Also, interesting that despite the whole situation at Newcastle he apparently was still in contention to get the England job until he ruled himself out.
Looking at Newcastle on paper, you score a decent amount of goals, actually you've scored 20 goals in 14 games whereas Chelsea (3rd in the table) have only scored 2 more goals than you but played a game more, it's just that your defensive record is horrible. I see that Duff is due back now, which is good news, I like him as a player, always have.
On a side note... Good win for Man United last night 'ey? ;)

Allardyce talks a good talk, but some of his selections and tactics are a bit naff to say the least. Things like only playing one winger, and playing three defensive midfielders when at home, for example. Things like never dropping Alan Smith, for example. Things like not playing our leading scorer as much as he should, for example.
He did very well at Notts County, and then at Bolton, so I do think he can do well here. And he certainly talks a good talk. It's just when it comes to walking the walk, he's got a bit of a limp at the moment, and he's not walking in a straight line either.

Not so much anymore, that part of his game has changed a lot. Granted when he first joined United he went down too easily, or 'dived' if you like but that's not really the player he is now in my opinion. He's a great player and as a neutral, he's amazing to watch on the field, as are Man Utd as a team. Being an Oxford fan you don't get to see a high level of football week in, week out, so watching teams like Man U, Arsenal, Liverpool etc are always rewarding from a football point of view. I only made the comment like I did because I could sense a very anti-Man Utd feel going on in this thread. :p
I have a mate thats a Fulham fan and theyre talking about relegation already. Or at least being in the relegation battle at the end of the season.

This made me laugh.
"It is quite unfair because he is nothing like that now", said Ferguson. "He is more mature and a magnificent footballer."
I know Fergie would back his team in almost any situation but that is basically admitting Ronaldo used to be a diver.
Ah I see. Well those do seem questionable when listed like that, but those are the things he will no doubt live or die by.
Well, at the very least surely you can take some comfort from the fact that Sunderland are doing worse than you so far, and are quite likely to go back down again this season?! :p
Oh and good luck against Arsenal tomorrow.

We could definately have won last night, and tbh, I thinked we looked the more likely winners. But after four defeats and a draw in the last five games, including seven conceded at St. James', a home point against the league leaders is fine by me.
Roll on Birmingham City.

Yeah i was glad Arsenal dropped a couple of points, helped us alot.
I watched the first half and i got to say after the Arsenal goal Newcastle seemed to step it up a few levels. Newcastle were dominant for the last 15-20 mins of the 1st half.
Overall im just glad Arsenal never won. :)

6 away wins in a row is a tad ridiculous.
But we have Derby on Sunday. They're looking for their second win. They're looking for their first double. Half the points they have gained so far came against us. That's embarrassing. If we don't make it 9 from the last 9 available come Sunday, I think I may shoot myself.
