Im not. The title would have A ) had him dropped from his label B ) it wouldnt have been sold in a lot of places C ) would have made it hard to buy. But still NAS still means the same thing NAS = N***A against society

It would of just brought negative publicity, which wouldnt be good for the album and the record label would want to stay as clear from that as possible. If he kept the name and the album turns out to be as good or better than Illmatic then it would of been remember for the wrong reasons imo.

you could tell he would have it changed. it would have been good to keep it in a sense though, in terms of trying to get rid of the stance against the word as such, but its happened for a reason :) still cant wait for the album though

What? Def Jam have said that they deny that they were going to drop him and he had a good backing from a good amount of people. And I personally think that Nas lost steam (again) after Stillmatic. So, I doubt it even be up to God's Son standards. I'm disappointed that he didn't see it through the whole thing. Why bother naming it something controversial in the first place, that people knew/thought you were going to do something good with it, to just change it later? And I doubt Nas be the type of rapper who's very concern on album sales, if the album does what it's suppose to do. I mean shit you even have tracks on it like Be a Nigger Too and War Is Necessary among others.
Edit: It seems it remain untitled right now.

Well it used to be
NATAS = SATAN
esham :D
yeh i duno about this, its bad on the one hand that he had to go back on his word, but considering he went for this approach with his last album (going all out for publicity) im sure hes not that bothered about going back on the album name cos everyones talkin about it already
i like nas, this is a better way of going for publicity than beefin like 50 cent or fallin out of clubs drunk, or gettin in police trouble etc

esham is a rapper/producer from detroit, founder of acid rap, he then made a group called natas with some others and their debut was doubelievingod

Well. nas hasnt lost steam. God's Son , Illmatic , Stillmatic,I AM , Hip-hop is dead , The lost tapes ,streets disciples were ALL hot. so NAS Is going to be just as good.

Well, first off I said personally and secondly, I said after Stillmatic. All opinions of course, so w/e. And shifted, yeah you were right got it messed up.
I think I heard Esham before, but didn't really give much of a hoot back then. What album would you exactly recommend and consider his best?
