England will qualify easily. Let's arrange a friendly against Belgium just before our last fixture.

Realy? You think Scotland will be first and Holland second? With all the indivudual power holland's got?
And no offense, but i think Croatia will end first if England doesn't get a good coach. I think you have to search abroad.

I think Scotland can do well, but i highly doubt they will top the Netherlands. Holland will have to be wary though. I would (obviously) like to see England top their group, and it is defiantely possible. However, the opposite is equally true.

How do you feel about a foreign coach MM? I wouldn't like it personaly.

whats wrong with a foreign coach if he's doing his job right?
hmm...

Because your national team is your country's pride. I wouldn't like it if a coach from another country gets the credit for our nation's prestation. In normal team football i don't care, but international football is more honorable as a country.

ummm you forgot the L in world in your thread lmao so irrevelant to this
but yea i kinda guessing england could probably win against croatia but like remember the euros 2004 greece took that shit out of no where so its full of surprises but honestly i would love to see the final 16 that would be some good soccer matches

Personally, the only international football I care about is the finals, and even then, I don't care. If we win, we win. If we lose, meh. If we have a domestic coach, then that would be good, but I really don't care if Capello or Johnny Foreigner wants to manage us. A winning manager is a winning manager, and right now, we're not in a postion to be picky.
I did like the ironic chants of 'Big Sam for England' at Newcastle's game last weekend, though.

Scotland work amazingly as a unit... have amazing fans which will guarantee them being undefeated at home imo... I mean there home display for the euro qualifiers was nothing short of amazing. I think they will win most of the away matches expect Holland. They could get a draw there. I remember a few years back a very bad Scotish team beating Holland.
England at this moment of time need Harry Redknapp. He has the english mentality we so dearly need. Hes been in the game for many years and what hes done for Portsmouth is amazing. Hes not scared to drop big names and he has tonnes of experience. If we get Harry i think we have no problem.
I think Scotland can do well, but i highly doubt they will top the Netherlands. Holland will have to be wary though. I would (obviously) like to see England top their group, and it is defiantely possible. However, the opposite is equally true.
^^^ exactly what i said in my first paragraph, its my reason for Scotland to top there group.

If we (holland) get our shit together and put our minds in liking the game we play, i think we would be unstoppable with the line up we have. We just need to stop fucking around with playsystems and get a steady 11 on the field.
I think that's what Scotland has over us, they're a steady unit, like u say. I was pretty bummed they didn't qualify last week cause they had some attractive matches. (which was pretty rare the whole qualification, some embarracing matches were played)

Yeah the heart of McFadden and Miller was amazing. I dont like saying it but Scotland deserved to qualify. Unfortunately they never.
Also what Holland main forwards now? Does Kuyt still get his game? And what about Babel?
TombStone
27th-November-2007, 06:44 PM
I personaly don't like Babel at all, atleast not when he plays for Holland. Kuyt is an amazing player (personal favorite w/ van persie) but Van Basten is not putting him on the pitch enough imo, dunno why. The only steady forward is Van Nistelrooij (and Van Persie before his injury). And then there's Robben ofcource.
Ruthless
27th-November-2007, 06:54 PM
You dislike Babel? I think he is a player for Holland who can come on as a sub and up the tempo of the games. Hes a very good player imo. Kuyt is also good, but he isnt and out n out striker, hes more of a person who would play off Van Persie or Nistlerooy. His movement off the ball is world class.

I really don't rate Kuyt at all. Works hard, but he is naff over here in England.

Against Newcastle he gave Torres the space to just rip there defense apart. Kuyt was defending from the front to, and he done well with it.

I think the Newcastle defence gave Torres the space to rip them apart. Just like they did with Pompey.

Kuyt is a great teamplayer, someone who can really pull a team togheter, he's a great player too have, on and off the pitch.
