There is a couple threads like this on other forums so i thought AW should have one (and i havent seen one here)

just recommend a cover, describe it and if you can post a link to it.

i recommend Biffy Clyro - Umbrella (rihanna cover)

its a fantastic acoustic cover of umbrella because they are a rock band, it was played on BBC's live lounge.

(but i cant post a link)

i hope this works because im always up for hearing covers!

i've gotta agree with this. the whole punk goes crunk cd is pretty decent and A Day To Remember does an awesome cover of kelly clarkson's since you've been gone.

another good cover artist is "The String Quartet". they cover a ton of bands but one of my favorite songs by them is their rendition of Underoath's A Boy Brushed in Red Living In Black And White.

a perfect circle's version of john lennon's 'imagine' from the emotive cd. i'm a HUGE beatles fan as well as the solo material from the members as well. most covers of any of their material is complete shit...for some reason, perfect circle put a completely different spin on that song and made it totally haunting...it gives me chills

i found another cover yesterday to Kate Perry's "I Kissed A Girl". it's by far way better than the last Kate Perry cover that i found. towards the end it's absolutely ridiculous. the breakdown is incredible though.

Always willing to listen to cross-genre covers, listening to Graveworm do 'I Nero A Hero' was pretty fun.

Apparently there is also a battle metal version of it, which I need to root out.

Here's one I discovered a few weeks back..

Angelique Kidjo, an Afropop diva doing Hendrix's Voodoo Chile (Slight Return) It's a kind of supersoul/African treatment, and it's fucking brilliant

There's a link to this track, and another to the whole album here...
