Hey everyone ;) time to get stuff rocking and get some changes done.
Do you have skins you like and would like to see here?
i dont want to have FEW skins, so we need only 1 but good one.
* few skins is a problem to maintain and it slows down the forum.
* I prefer light easy for the eye skins.
how bout u?
suggest some here please

I like dark two toned skins with colors that match. Don't know if that helps.

the problem with one skin is your never going to please everyone, where as having a couple of skins, even just 3 to 4, will be enough to please almost every user.
i reckon just get 3 or 4 and allow users to change the skin over...
i have been on one site that had 13 different skins available, yet ran smooth and fast also.. so how would it exactly slow you down?

Problem with few skins is when u need to add a template to do some changes, u need to edit EACH skin manually, and it takes tons of time and so on :)

Simple if the right user has access to help. I have added mods to 10 skins at once in tabs (Full reinstall of all Mods) and it only takes 10 minutes or so. Really!

maybe give it a try? ;)
otherwise, there is no point in changing the forum skin, cos the majority of users [along with myself] like this skin, and some won't.
so unless there will be a couple skins, i think it is useless changing the forum skin/layout. :)

I must admit, I am quite fond of this skin, easy on the eyes to read, not like some of those really dark ones, where you cannot read anything.
Skins need to be user friendly, not so abstract that they loose the whole idea of their purpose, to present information to the viewer in a layout that is, pleasing to the eye, readable and easily navigated.
Of course no one skin will be all things to all people. :)
