What are Premium-Points?
Upload your files in your Premium-Zone, and you will get points for downloads of your files. You can then convert your collected points to free premium-accounts. (Check "Convert points" in your premium-zone.) You can also extend your own premium-account for free. You will get one point per download if the downloader is a free-user AND your file is bigger than 1 MB AND the downloader has generated less than 5 points in the last hour. These rules have been introduced to protect us from abuse.

Those cats are a pain for these eyes, hard to make them out, pity the poor bastards that have to find them, why can't they make them a different colour, that would still fool the bots.
@LSD lol the answer is 42 :)

I loved watching the TV series, The movie could have been a bit better, but then again, you cannot put a whole series into an hour and a half of film.
They did leave it open for a sequel "The Restaurant at the End of The Universe"

Sad thing is about 40% of users would likely think about doing it and wonder if RS meant THEIR card, and go get their wallets out

Ive just got a premium account cos I was sick of waiting 90 minutes to get another file, and I was planning on deleting my music from my laptop and keeping it on my ipod. I figured I may aswell upload as much of it as possible if im going to do this, but I havent uploaded anything before so I was wondering if I need to compress it with winrar first or does it do this automatically when you upload a folder?
I know its most likely a dumb question but if I dont ask I will no doubt do it wrong and not realise untill ive spent hours doing it in the process :D
And also whats the deal with the different mirrors? Do they really make much of a difference?
shifted
3rd-June-2008, 12:58 AM
if you store it only on your ipod, you wont be able to burn any cd's or use that music on anything at all. i suggest you keep it on your computer, cos what happens when your rapidshare account expires cos you dont want it anymore? or you post your links somewhere and someone reports the link? then you lose what you uploaded..
keep it stored on your hdd mate ;)
also, use winrar to make the archive, it does not do it automatically. :)

Hmm yeah I was thinking about that. The problem is its a shared laptop, not very good, and it was my mother who paid for it. I feel bad for clogging it up :D I may invest in an external HDD, or stick it all on a redundant PC just so its there.
Cheers for the advice.

Seems the cats have gone away!
All I have seen all week is "Happy Hour" or nothing, granted when I do not use my premium account all I do is switch IP's and get happy hour anytime, so I could be wrong..... But it looks as if they are gone for now.
Next it will be something worse I have no doubt.
