Hi.

Since I registered I see this thing with people who post albums (but it can be anything else) or filling requests and posting the albums - each in every post and this makes a bit of a mess in my opinion and I think we should stop this, if someone is posting some albums he will post as many as he can in the same post (I know there's the thing with picture limit up to 10 so if all your albums (again, it could be anything else) that you're posting comes with covers, then it's OK to double post - 10 albums in 1 post and another 10 in the second post and so on).

Tommy.

moved it for you.

edit: also, in filling requests, i dont think it is necessary to post in one post. you cant expect to have every album found at the same time, and the thread is closed anyway once the request is filled.

It is up to the contributor as to how they wish to display their contribution, be it, three albums in a single post or three separate posts for three separate albums. Regardless of how they are displayed, they still appear in the same thread.

I personally have no issue with a single item per post, although it does seem like a bad idea for some things (e.g. Individual TV episodes).

I think when you solve a request, the posted app or album or whatever should be posted by itself, in a separate thread in the proper section.

And being as we allow 3 music requests per topic, those should bring in 3 separate posts into the NON request section with links in the request thread to those new posted album pages. That way it adds to the actual number of albums posted, and also makes things easier for a user to find who is searching for one album inparticular.

Same would go for a application, a request is made then a user posts the app needed in it's own thread, and links the requester back to the newly made application thread. Seems like better order for all that way to me

Just my 2 cents

Searching is not a problem, the problem is getting people to use the search feature :)

lsd, that is not a bad idea, and will bring up the number of threads in each respective section, making the site look a lot bigger also.. so im for your idea there, guess just need the big guys approval [rudi + admins] or so ;)

search is a problem a lot of users need to fix and use to their advantage, but i dont think it would bring any harm if the mods were allowed to move the posts over to the respective sections and make specific threads for them. there is a way to make the request filler the thread started isnt there?

I don't quite understand what you mean?

You mean, you can't put a lot of albums into one post?

I mean instead of posting an album in the first topic and then reply to the same thread with another album and so on, to post a few albums (as many as you can) in the same post.

^^ but all albums may not be found at the same time, so at least your filling part of the request by posting one album..

be good if the albums that have been found from requests were put in to the main site too

yeah, it would help people who request even if its alread been posted in a certain section. i try and post all the albums i post in the forums on the site. but idk about everyone else, but it also requires more effort and time(sometimes, neither of which i have):p
