does anyone know of any bands that don't always sound the same on eeevery song? seems like an increasing number of bands are beginning to sound more and more ... the same ... in every song they produce.

i'd like to see bands with kind of an indie rock / electro / powerpop / other mix.
this is probably kind of a hard request.

ok, so idon't know any bands that mix rock/electro/powerpop, but i can let you in on a guy who does some awesome music that is a bit of a genre mash (punk, rock, folk, hip hop!) and his songs are very varied, lyrics incredible and just generally good music.... forgot to mention who it was - don mccloskey!

luckily for you i happen have uploaded his albums:
Don McCloskey - Northern Liberties
http://albumwash.com/forum/showthread.php?p=46669

this is his second album. on his first he was a LOT more hip hop influenced and the album was recorded with a hip hop sampled based ethos (even though he played ALL the instruments himself, he just sampled, looped and layered them)

hope you enjoy, cos i fucking LOVE this album :)

EDIT: just realised i had potentially broke some rules by posting that album here!

i'll re-post it in goldmine and leave a link to it here
