Simple. What's the mundane, day-to-day thing which occupies all of your time?

i am basically a receptionist at a dental surgery where my mum is a dentist
its ok cos blaytz weird people dont go to the dentists so i only have to speak to normal people
this is good cos ive had quite a few too many jobs since leaving college some 3 years ago and they have almost always involved having to deal with weird people from time to time and it is shit yeh
but this job is ok just boring when its quiet.

Grade 10 high school. It's easy, though. 44.5/45 on the chemistry exam, with no studying? I think so. I'm not looking forward to working to feed myself. I get to hang out with my buddies all day, while learning. Does it get better? Some of it is boring, but some is interesting.

So is the program you're in heavily focused on math, especially Calculus? I chose an Engineering school to work on my Computer Science degree. I started at a community college, and nothing transfered hardly, so it seems like it's taken me forever to get to my last year. Only one to go though, I'll be so glad to finish. :)

One of the modules I'm studying currently is 'Maths for games'. However, I'm walking out of them at the moment 'cause I know it all as it's a lot of the basics as some students didn't take maths on past the age of sixteen. Although I've had a year out, most of what we're doing I do remember though. I don't know if calculus is going to be something we are going to study, but it is a possibility. I know that we are going to be studying both statistics and mechanics at some point though.
The course itself at the moment though is still mostly based around general computing, although it does have a games twist. This is partly to allow students to move to another course if they say they don't like the idea of making games (??????) while not making the games students delusional about what they are going to be studying.
At the moment, the modules I am studying this semester are Computer Systems, Databases, Maths For Games, and Software Development. I know for a fact that we don't start 3D modelling until the second year, but we do start 'Games Concepts' Next semester.
Year 3 seems ages away.

I'm in my 6th year. I've had two years of Calculus for Engineers and I'm finishing up my last Linear Algebra course now. I'm so tired of math. :) The university I attend pretty much expects you to already know the basics of programming when you enter. If not, you don't belong there. I've pretty much completed all of my computer science courses, I have one Software Engineering course and a couple of Electives remaining in relation to programming stuff. Most of what I have left is upper level Electrical Engineering courses. Next semester I have to build a board given a cpu and a couple memory chips and program it in assembly language.

I'm currently unemployed at the time, because I'm moving and I didn't see the point in driving back & forth, an hour & a half each way, for 10$ an hour, especially with the prices of gas. But it's whatever, I'm sure I'll get a new job @ my new location!

It's the evolutionary computation that the lecturers, 3rd years, etc keep on 'bigging up' that should be fun.

i was thinking of doing a module on that this year, but i opted not to so i could do some AI and machine vision modules instead - seemed a lot more interesting than algorithm after algorithm

i've only found a few modules i've encountered a challenge, and that's mainly due to volume and breadth of topics covered (and my frequent lack of attendance), not due to difficulty of topics (and cos i think i'll do worse in them, i usually end up devoting a little more time during exam periods and doing better anyways!)
can't wait to finish, and get out into the real world though! may have an interview to work at confused.com soon! haha!
