Help me choose between 2 games

Ok, so i threw some money on my paypal acount and i'm ready to hit Ebay.


These two games are missing from my collection right now:

Call of Duty 4
The Orange Box


For shooters, i need the onlinemode to be good, busy, and with a less frustration as possible.

I know that CoD4 has problems with online connecting (up to 10 min. waits!!?) but when you're in, it's awesome. And is the singleplayer as dissapointing as i'm being told? (Too short, no real depth)

I don't know anything about The Orange Box, are there alot of people playing online, can you go online with Half Life it'sself too or just the Team Fortress II Mod? and is it is nice as it looks (i dig the cartoony style in TFII). AND, i am not a fan fan of shooting monsters/animals that don't shoot back (stopped playing Farcry when the monkeys hit the scene), hows that in the HL episodes? And how's the storyline?


Help me out here, i really don't know which to buy. I like the realism of CoD, which The Orange Box lacks, but i like the loads of content you get there, which CoD seems to lack.

Yea the wait for COD4 does kinda suck but it is awsome once you get in and start to improve your rank to get diffrent weapons. The single player does lack alot it only took me around 4 hrs to beat. The orange box is fun as well seeing as how you do get 5 diffrent games with it well actually 3 and 2 expansion packs. But with the variety you can always try something diffrent like portal which is really fun especially if your bored and theres nothing else to do. im not really sure if you can play the other games online seeing as how i rented it for 5 days and mainly just played the story line on HL2 and played portal. So if you dont really like shooting monsters definatley get COD4. But if you want a variety and bang for your buck the orange box is the way to go. So hopefully this will help you out.:)

though the orange box is a great set of games, if your looking for online play i would go with cod4.

Orange box FTW! i play team fortress 2 nearly every day,its awesome.COD4 multiplayer is ok if you like climbing the ranks,getting unlocks etc but teamfortress 2 is loads more fun! loads of servers that are always busy! Also lots of custom maps servers that run the team fortress classic maps as well as player modded maps.

it does look good and the single player is a lot of fun if very short,but for me its got to be orange box although i own both

I bought The Orange Box for the simple reason that it was cheap, 30$. CoD4 are all over 40$.
And i bought Skate aswell, always wanted that one.
CoD is next on the list though, unless Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway drops first. That game will own the fuck out of any other...

I just recieved The Orange Box, never got a shipment this fast, ever. And it came from HongKong too... So i'm off, let's see if this game lives up to it's status.

Oh hell yeah, addicted for sure. Best online game i've played on 360 so far, achievements flying in lol. And i might join you for a game soon, be prepared lol. GT= NL LostCauze

And btw, Portal is insane! I love it, puzzling on a whole new level.

I seriously doubt i would have had this much fun with CoD4.

i didnt have time to read the first 3 pages so sorry if this has been said.
but if its for the 360 get cod4
and for the pc? id say orangebox.

the orangebox on pc has many more people playing tf2
while 360 has none.
and cod has a good story mode imo
and the online loading times arent long for me at all.
but that may be for the pc, not for the 350 which i play on...
