Britain encompasses all the the nation which comprise the British Isles. The main reason I hate it is the politcal correctness that has now attatched itself to the term. And where as English defines one as being from England, the term British doesn't tend to lend itself so readily to the same template.

In Australia we have our own slang for the English
http://www.aussieslang.com/Search/qsearch.asp
pom, pommy, pommie
noun:- A person from England, probably derived from Prisoner Of Mother England.
There is also another word we love to use as well.
bastard
noun:- a general form of addressing someone, it can either be an affectionate term of endearment or to describe an unpleasant character.
So we usually use both terms together when we talk about English people because of our great love and respect for them. :)
pommy bastards :)
We especially love chanting that endearment during the cricket :o

welsh, not BRITISH! i'm in the same boat as memento, so many people don't seem to realise that the british isles is made up of 4 countries (and i guess you could maybe include republic of ireland as an extra one too). WALES ISN'T IN ENGLAND, IT'S A SEPERATE COUNTRY!

thats the problem
so-called "black" & "white" americans can't think outside the box.they accept whatever their told with out questioning it.
in other countries people don't call themselves "black" or "white".

The original question is 'What is your nationality'. My nationality is a New Zealander. Most people have answered the question as if it said 'what is your race or ethnicity'. In that case, I am about half Maori, (an indigenous New Zealand Polynesian), about an 8th Fijian, and the rest is Irish. Race mixing rocks man! :afro:

Unfortunately, this is true for two reasons:
1. We don't look good in much other hairstyles
2. We don't have any originality. At ALL.
