PS3 Online troubles...

Alrighty I got Midnight Club Los Angeles on PS3, I set-up WiFi and all, I can access PSN fine & etc. but whenever I load up the online segment of the game, it will work for maybe 20 seconds and then cut out. EVERY TIME.

It is getting on my nerves... does anyone know how to fix it? All my ports have been open and forwarded (Windows Firewall & Belkin Router) is there anything I am missing???

Anyone have similar issues?

sorry, i am a ps3...er, but i dont have this game. i have had problems with games functioning online, but this is usually due to other people using the same connection for frivolous activities such as downloading,

I have searched every board, opened every port and etc. for the last couple days... and to no avail, just seems their servers do not care for those from the international area...

I even bought all the DLC to see if that would fix it... and nothing happened at all... :(

Not happy Take2/Rockstar.... not happy at all....

Weird thing though, my mate can play GTA-IV online as much as he likes no problems, yet mine does not? He lives just 20min from me so it is weird. :(

fix the problem yet shited? try a cord instead of wi-fi.

What router is your friend using? Since we switched to a Belkin N+ I havent been able to connect to PSN or Xbox Live, but both consoles recognise the router.

I dunno dude to be honest, haven't bothered checking. I randomly played the game again not long ago and I managed to play online all-day? But it doesn't concern me too much, I don't really have the time to play around with it. I would run a cable if it went through the walls, but I won't bother attempting this now as when I move out, the PS3 comes with me anyway, you know?

I have a Belkin G+ in my study, laptop works great with it throughout the house, N+ gives you insane coverage so I am surprised.

Edit: I will assume he uses a D-Link or NetGear or something though, but really, who knows lol

Yeah the N+ is supposed to be the best for coverage, I get 100% signal strength on the PSN but I just cant figure out how to get the bloody thing to work. Ive tried opening and forwarding ports, dunno what to do. Que sera

I sent numerous emails to RockStar after explaining many a time that I opened all ports, forwarded everything and whatever else you know? But they just kept sending back the same info... its like a computer generated email or something but meh, doesn't bother me, eventually you get bored of the game anyway I suppose lol
