Jean Grae's 2004 album "This Week" (which that track is off) is a good album. Her effort last year, "Jeanius" I reckon is even better.

Female Emcees who rap about their boyfriends can't be any worse than male rappers rapping about their 'ho's' surely. (Or rappers who spit the dummy because they made a dick of themselves losing their wad before getting the prize.)

There are a tons of female rappers I like who don't always rap about their boyfriends.. here's just a quick list running down my iTunes playlist..

MIA, Magda Sinit, Missy Elliot, Atemii, Caustic Dames, Chyna Whyte, Neneh Cherry, Envy, Erykah Badu, Patra, Killa Queenz, Khaos, Amanda Diva, Lola, Meda... heaps of them, and there is an awesome Polynesian trio here in New Zealand by the name of Sistaz Underground.

Although I like Lauryn Hill, I'm not sure I'd put her in the 'emcee' bracket, but I guess Nenah Cherry and Erykah Badu are kind of borderline too. My point is, if you don't like female rappers you just haven't looked hard enough. :)

This is actually one of my favorite songs by her.
Her intro is enough to get you into the song
I was thinking about doing my own version of this track
Still might

i didnt say i dont like female MC's i just dont like hearing them talk about boyfriends. and i dont like hearing talk about ho's either, unless its some well written complex shit then i can tolerate it. but its different, i cant rap along when its talking about dudes, thats gay.

 Man you got some issues bro. You s'posed to be enjoyin, not pretendin' you is they. Are you saying you can't enjoy anything that isn't about you? Freaky man... :o
