is there any chance of splitting it up a little bit in to the main food groups like rock, rap, dance etc?
its abit messy at the moment, i think it may increase activity

I am happy to add sub forums to deal specifically with a particular bent.

Could you suggest a list of sub forums, keeping in mind to be as broad as possible without the need for excessive separate sub forums.

well loosely i would just go for rap, rock, dance and maybe "other" i hadnt really thought this far ahead, i jus wanted to gauge opinion and throw some ideas around, im sure other people will want to have some input, but yeah thats the sub forums i would put

its not worth puttin pop or classical or anythin cos, quite simply, no-one discusses them, so they would be covered in other

what do you think?

My OCD has gotten the better of me, and I started organizing some of the threads into the appropriate categories.

Can we add a Country and a Hip-Hop genre, or just integrate rap and hip-hop?

Are you talking about the Goldmine section or the music discussion section?

Well I would have assumed Rap/Hip-Hop/R&B would be put into one section?

Lack of capitalisation looks sloppy imo. I really need to start discussing music a little more, I reckon.

I'm still lost guys, what area do you want these changes made, The Goldmine Section or the Music Discussion Section?

I am assuming this is the discussion section Rudolf, the Gold Mine area is fine, also, like Memento said; a couple of the Sub-Forums you placed lack capitalised characters at the beginning. :)

I was wondering... could we possibly sub categorize the Discography section so instead of going in looking for some Rock to download you can go to the Rock Discography section instead of having to search through country and rap and the like.

Can we make a Recommendations subforum? As I've been sorting these out I've seen many recommendations threads, and they should have their own little place.

Sorry guys, i only just saw this, as it was bumped.

Could i just explain the idea of Discographies.

The concept is that they contain the most comprehensive catalog of a particular artist, sometimes, not the complete record of their works, but a step in that direction.

To categorize sub sections within a discography is an overkill, as we don't present enough variety and quantity of Artists to do this.

All you need to do is search the list for any particular Artist your after and let your fingers do the walking.

I am open to suggestions, if we can improve on the way we can display our offerings. :)
