Dead links are inevitable. Reporting a dead link when you see one is the only thing to do.
You can't expect linkmods to check every single link that has been approved before, it's a big enough job to deal with new submissions. It's a two way deal, you download shit for free, then help us out by reporting dead links so we can remove em.

people should also upload their albums into a link where they dont have limits cuz theres too many rapidshares and megauploads more people should try better ones

watch the double posts, use the edit button :)
people should upload their own albums, but let me ask you.. do you do that to?
everyone that submits to win generally doesnt upload themselves, and majority wise, they dont care where the links come from or what server they are on.
i upload all my own stuff, and the easiest server is rapidshare.
i do use mediafire from time to time, and it too is an excellent site.

i think we need to get a php dev team together (not me oh gawd) and make a link checker. that checks links and deletes dead ones.

that probably wouldn't be that hard to be honest, apart from it'd bottleneck the hell out of the back end databases. it'd have to do be done at super periods of inactivity.
