So basically my audio keeps cutting out on my playstation when im watching movies playing games etc... I was just wondering if anybody else was having this problem and how or if it can be fixed.

What cable are you using to hook it up to your system? Also, are you going Audio into TV, or Audio in Amp?
HDMI?

Have you tried straight HDMI to the AMP? (I am assuming you have a surround system set-up.)
Has your PS3 got an optical out cable itself to test?
Test these two things first. If it does not work directly, you may find there could be an issue with the actual PS3 unit.
Also, check your PS3 settings, there maybe an audio setting that could be adjusted. it should channel though with no issues so it is weird....

Yea ive tried both of those and have already sent in one ps3 for this same problem im starting to think it may be just the tuner at this point.

have you got a device to switch in place with the PS3 to see if it works?

And that is plugged through the same way?
Easy option, take it to where you bought it and have them test it on their equipment.
If the AMP allows the audio from an X-Box 360 to play fine, it may be either within the settings of the PS3 or the actual Audio out of the PS3. If the AMP does not [and this has to be the very same connection] allow this, then the AMP itself may be the problem.
