does anyone know of a cheap place to get these? or is my best bet just to buy them from xbox live?

Never heard of this before.

For others who are interested in what this is about.

Microsoft Points is a micro-payment system that works across multiple marketplaces. Your points will be held in a balance associated with your Windows Live Id until you use them to buy goods and services at a Microsoft Points-enabled marketplace such as Xbox Live, Zune or Windows Live Gallery.

Never heard of Microsoft Points? It's the major payment system Microsoft uses, and it's a pain in the ass to use sometimes.

I get messages on LIVE at times, sharing links to free MS points. Never checked though, don't trust that shit, eventhough it would be the shit to get some points cheap.

I've got more than enough points to last me. I don't get much from the marketplace, so the 500 I got from GTA, along with 2200 my brother gave me after getting them for free will probably do me for more than long enough.

@ Tombstone: Some games have free microsoft points inside them, Grand Theft Auto being one of them.
