i was curious as to what u were talking about, so i youtubed it - how exactly is he doing it? its pretty damn raw. its a pretty good sound that would go well in dubstep... actually im sure 8bit gameboy sounds would go perfect into dubstep.... or drum n bass
so what is they doing? playing a gamboy game and synthing sounds... or just useing the sound card to play the pre created noises? or what?
its kinda cool for a bit, then gets a bit annoying. if it included some retro game sounds that would be good - bit of mario coins or zelda music. u know.

he modified his game boy, I'm going to get one and do it myself soon, i'll let you know once i have but for now you can use a program called milkytrackerm to get you started and ontop of that i can't really help this is new to me.

LSDJ on a rewritable cartridge. So your could find a game boy emulator and use a rom image of LSDJ or if you can own or purchase a rewritable cartridge that would do the job. More modding has been done on the console that i've seen but I haven't researched enough into it atm

as you may (or may not) know i have been feeling dubstep for a while now and think its the best thing since since some clever sod took a knife to a loaf.
and after reading this thread however long ago it was i checked out a tonne of chinptune stuff and was pretty impressed. So it is no suprise that more recently i have noticed a chiptune pressence making its way into the other styles of music i like.
I heard this tune the other night (i was a lil baked) and it appealed to me so much i had to find out what it was. check it out, light dubstep with a strong chiptune pressence :) there are more out there but this is my current fav. just waiting on vixy net to sort it self out so i can get the mp3
its called gameboy love by dutty dubz
