Are there any other prince fans here?

Ive just got the new three album set today and have been listening to it today. i really like it, much better than his Planet Earth alum and in the same vein as 3121. I really like the 2nd disk, MPLSoUND. the tunes on that are perfectly produced and are funky as hell to.

any other opinions?

yeah-i like it as well...not so sure about the new female artist he was trying to break into the industry-but it's certainly more enjoyable than some of his more recent efforts...

i'm still trying to get over the fact that he's a jehovah's witness now and doesn't cuss anymore...

tbh, ive not listened to the third album yet. still stuck on MPLSoUND.
yeah it is odd when u consider his back catalog, but he is a bit of an odd guy i guess. but he sure knows how to make good music. MPLSoUND really reminds me of when i first listened to 3121. there are loads of subtle background sounds which have obviously had a lot of thought put into them that make records.

yeah-he's a fucking genius...i kind of wish that he didn't use so much 80s style synthesizer because it sounds kind of lame and out-of-touch...but he's an amazing musician

Downloading it now. Not a huge fan, but my missus loves him, and, IMHO he is the worlds greatest living guitarist by far. He's not a metalhead or a bluesrocker so most guitar freaks haven't noticed him, but he definitely inherits my Hendrix crown.. ;)
