The last film I done seen was American Gangster.

I liked this movie. It made me use my brain. It's a tad on the long side. but it's a Ridley Scott movie so I wasn't really surprised. The story itself is refreshing. it' takes you deep into all facets of corruption. I would recommend this movie to everyone, especially those that are fans of the genre.

Got very distracted due watching with ******* and drinks. Seen before though, and great as a pre-cursor to the other two, and as a movie in its own right.

Enjoyable, and not one to be taken seriously. The interaction between DJ (The Rock) and SWS is great fun. Shows moments when it is well directed, but is still absolutely miles away from being a classic.

I saw the Kingdom last night. It was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't all American propaganda, but I was disappointed that it turned into a bit of a stupid action flick after the part where Leavitt gets kidnapped. The conversation at the end of the film (about an earlier conversation) redeemed it somewhat – it wasn't a bad film, it just could've been a lot better.

Last week I saw No Country for Old Men, which was thoroughly outstanding, and not at all what I was expecting. Go see it if you haven't already, it'll blow your mind.

I've just watched two great movies recently;

Accepted.

It's about this kid who gets rejected from every college he applies to, but with the help of his best-friend, he starts his own college. It had me laughing the whole way through it. I'd recommend it. 8/10.

Rounders.

It's about a guy going to law school, but he's also a high stakes poker player, who got beat all in and decided to quit. Until his best-friend got released from prison, then they both started hustling players & tourists. It's a dope movie, definitely worth the watch. 9/10.

I saw 3 movies over the weekend.
"I Am Legend" was good, glad I didnt pay for it.
"Once" was real good, good love story and really good music.
"The Orphanage" great movie, real good ghost story.

-Naked Gun 33 1/3 - The least funny of the three, but still good.
-Saving Private Ryan - Awesome. Probably one of the best war films I've ever seen.
-I got about 45 minutes in to Barry Lyndon. From what I saw I liked it a lot.

Ok, saw "Cloverfield" over the weekend...freaking GREAT!!! I understand alotta people will come out saying this movie s*cked big time blah, blah, blah. Yeah, the movie was shot in 1st person POV and it's real shaky and all that but I think it added to the movie, made it seem more believable (I know, it's a monster movie). Highly reccomended

Alien VS Predator 2 it was great

though i got sick when the PredAlien Forcibly Planted Embryos on a Pregnant Woman in the hospital (planted embryos through the mouth to the chest) like they were kissing xD

When the Chestburster are about to burst from the chest is was cool! about 6-8 are in the chest or where the female's baby is (poor baby xD)

Juno was good, a bit overrated IMO but still good.
King of Kong really surprised me at how good it was. Excellent documentary, easilly the best of these three.
Ladron was good, a bit cheesy like those campy spanish soaps but the story is good. A bit predictable but overall good.

I've watched probably a dozen different movies in the last week. Here's what I thought of the one's I hadn't seen before.

Hot Fuzz - Surreal plot, and some good comedy. Better than SOTD.
King Kong - Enjoyable, but not one that sticks in the memory.
Rush Hour 3 - Same great chemistry between Chan and Rock. Good fun.

The last movie that I saw was Cloverfield on opening night. I actually really loved the movie. Some people were complaining about how it was filmed, but I love it and thought that it was the only way that the movie would really work. It was a really interesting movie and I never got bored.

Recent watches:

The Girl Next Door - To say I enjoyed this one would be the wrong way to put it, but if you can put up with bearing witness to the actions portayed in this, you will find a good movie behind it. Based on (but not a true depiction of) a true story, which makes the 'horror' worse.

Unbreakable - I really rate this movie. I has been on TV over hear a lot, and not much is ever heard about it, so it leads me think not many appreciate it to the same level I do. The plot is fantastic, and the delivery of it matches the tone. Music is pretty darn fine as well. Fairly emotive ending as well, which is always a plus.

PotC : At World's End - Although not as good as the first of the three, is certainly a hell of a lot better than the second one (which albeit, is not really that hard). Interesting how the perspective has switched completely on the moral side of things from the first movie, but then again, that's hardly a surprise. This movie also retained a hell of a lot more humour from the first movie than Dead Man's Chest did, which I felt was one of the major plus point of the original.
