so will this allow us to post images and at the same time not infringe upon the "no hot linking of images" rule?

This seems to be a very good solution for images.
1. Even though the image is a live clickable link, it is only leaving a footprint to an image hosting site.
2. It also satisfies the hot-linking of an image rule because our main concern is leaving footprints to legal sites, after all we are a warez site and don't want to attract any unnecessary attention by hot linking images to music and software sites.
I would be happy to support the use of this system to post images on this site.

Imageshack is too slow, i found this very nice uploadsite, multiple pictures at once and good speed;
http://allyoucanupload.webshots.com/
It keeps track of your rescent uploads too, without having to register.

so the problem with hotlinking is that it leaves a 'trail' that can be tracked back to this site, which isnt good, and this is a (good, i think) solution
well
what about
IF I POSTED THE LINK LIKE EVERYWHERE ALREADY DOES THIS ALSO LEAVE A TRAIL AND IS ALBUMWASH GOING TO BE SHUT DOWN NOW )`:

If you hot link an image from another site, when the forum page loads it needs to retrieve that information from the host site to display the image on the forum. That information leaves a digital footprint on the host site giving details as to where that image was downloaded to. This is incoming traffic and our details are left on the host site.
This is also the reason we code all links in the goldmine section regardless if it is to a legal content or not.
If you post a link to say www.albumbase.com as a live link on another site, when the person presses that link they are directed to our site without the need for cutting and pasting the link address. This is classed as outgoing traffic on the host site and the digital details are between the user and the the person being directed. You may notice when you press a clickable link a new browser page opens up and the digital information is passed between your computer and the target link.
We try and minimize our our digital footprint in cyber land, there is no need to draw unwanted attention by hot linking images from legal sites, we can all do our part to help by using imaging hosting sites, if anyone wishes to display images.
